[RECAP] :: Women Of Atlanta Fashion Show

In February, Celebrity fashion designer Rafael Cox showcased his spring collection as well as raised awareness for Breast Cancer with the Women of Atlanta Fashion Show.

The 2nd installment of the show was hosted by Shod Santiago and Dayybella and the seats were filled with breast cancer supporters, survivors, and your favorite reality show personalities.

The first collection Rafael showcased was modeled by fresh faces and stunning color tones, while the second collection was modeled by breast cancer survivors. The pink collection was fiercely showcased on the runway as each model’s look was presented with a sound clip of how breast cancer affected and what it meant to them.

I was especially moved by the story of the woman who battled breast cancer while carrying her child. She was instructed by doctors to abort her child for the child and her health, but she trusted in God, went on with chemotherapy and her pregnancy and is the mother of a healthy child and cancer free. The story was a beautiful testimony that moved me to tears.

The showcase was beautiful, the designs were innovative and both collections were fashion forward.

Until next time, we’ll see you in the city.
