The Hosea Feed the Hungry (HFTH) organization has been operating and serving the local community since 1970. With programs available to assist with food, rent, utilities, housing, and other basic necessities; the organization held an intimate media brunch on June 27th, 2015 to announce the launch of their rebranded organization. With the multiple programs/initiatives the organization offers 365 days a year, they are progressively moving into the name Hosea Helps, encompassing all the options of support they offer throughout the community.
After winning the 2013 Aetna Voices of Health Competition, the organization held it’s first annual media brunch; with outlets present like Atlanta’s 11Alive, entertainment from Emmy Award winning Poet Hank Stewart, and a heartfelt personal story from Dish Nation Host and Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Porsha Williams, Hosea Feed the Hungry announced the rebranding of Hosea Helps. The esteemed charitable organization currently assists with feeding 51,000 people a year!
Media outlets pledged coverage and on air promotion to the organization, and Porsha Williams pledged a $5,000 donation.
The organization plans to continue their growth with assisting families and persons in need with housing, utility assistance, emergency meals, as well as life skills, and financial literacy. Congratulations to Hosea Helps on rebranding, and be sure to visit their site to find more information about volunteering.
Until next time, we’ll see you in the city!
