[RECAP] :: Cherry Blossom Festival

March 20th marked the first day of Spring and warm weather is finally making it’s way here! The best part about spring is that we’re closer to summer and the kick-off of festival season!

Being in Atlanta, that means a few things.. an influx in adventures, a decrease in money, and a load of outdoor festivals.

Be sure to follow us here in the city to get your previews, pricing, and recaps of a few popular summer festivals!

This weekend, I ventured off to the final weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, GA. The festival was celebrated with a host of different activities this month IMG_2456and plenty of opportunities to interact throughout the city. Starting in the streets of Macon, we enjoyed gourmet food from food trucks from around the south, giving us a true taste of the food truck frenzy that has swept the country. We even got to indulge in $1 shaved ice slushes!

Continuing in the festive spirit, we shopped with a host of local vendors selling crafts, leather belts, artwork, scents and much more. Heading to the park’s fairgrounds is where most of the magic happened. The space transformed with rides, strong scents of turkey legs, funnel cakes, popcorn and all your other summer fair guilty pleasures only fueled my excitement for summer’s arrival.  The event closed out with fireworks and other post festival events to last through the end of April.

What are you most looking forward to in the spring and warm coming months? Drop a line and let us know and be sure to follow along on the adventure on Instagram! Be sure to check out more pics from the festival below, and until next time, we’ll see you here in the city!
